Abstract
The article studied the relaxing effect of the indole alkaloids vincanine and pyrozoline on rat aorta preparations, and also showed the participation of the Na+/Ca2+ exchanger and voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels in the system. According to the results obtained, Na+ significantly reduces aortic contractions caused by Krebs solution and ouabain, vincanine and pyrozoline. Considering that these contractions of the aorta occur in the presence of Ca2+ ions coming directly through the Na+/Ca2+ exchange system, the action of the above alkaloids is associated with the Na+/Ca2+ exchange system.
